Researchers have studied 1820 mothers with their babies. They found that babies of mothers who took vitamin D is optimal, experienced rapid brain development.
These findings support the recommendation for vitamin D intake before and during pregnancy. Fatty fish and dairy are foods that can provide the required intake of vitamin D the body.
Currently recommend intake of 200 IU of vitamin D every day, if a person is not exposed to much sunlight.
