Gerry Rafferty pass away



Bufoli - Singer and songwriter Gerry Rafferty died on Tuesday (01/04/2011) at the age of 63 years. Chanter 'Baker Street' that died because of liver disease who have long suffered.

As reported by NME on Wednesday (05/01/2011), Gerry died peacefully surrounded by people closest. The singer that had spawned nine solo albums that have long struggled against the disease caused alcoholism.

In November, he had rushed to the hospital Bournemouth, Dorset, England because of his liver disease relapse. Scottish-born singer is known as a heavy drinker.

Born in Paisley, Glasgow, Scotland, on April 16, 1947, Gerry's success as a solo artist began in the 1970s. At that time, he was often involved in performing with band The Humblebums with comedian Billy Connolly and Stealer's Wheel.

'City To City' is the most successful album after its release in 1978. Followed by the album 'Night Owl', which releases next year.

Directed by Quentin Tarantino used the song titled 'Stuck In The Middle With You' as the soundtrack to the film 'Reservoir Dogs' was released in 1992. During his career, Gerry has also been made 5 albums compilation.
