In a joint statement on Tuesday, Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said Iran has the right to have peaceful nuclear energy.
The two leaders also announced that India and Russia have signed an agreement to cooperate in nuclear energy, trade and pharmaceuticals, when Medvedev visited New Delhi to start a two-day visit.
The two countries plan to increase the trade of nearly 10 billion dollars per year to 20 billion dollars before 2015.
Russia has signed an agreement to build additional reactors for the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant in southern India. Medvedev plans to visit Mumbai on Wednesday. Label: trends
